Aptitud combinatoria y estabilidad de líneas de alto rendimiento derivadas de maíz exótico tropical. Colegio de Postgraduados

Para generar híbridos de maíz (Zea mays L.) de cruza simple de manera rentable, es necesario que las líneas progenitoras hembras sean de alto rendimiento y que los híbridos generados, así como sus líneas parentales muestren buena estabilidad y adaptación ante los cambios en los ambientes de producción. El objetivo de este trabajo fue estimar la aptitud combinatoria general y aptitud combinatoria específica de 10 líneas de maíz altamente homocigóticas y de alta capacidad de rendimiento, derivadas de poblaciones de maíces exóticos adaptados a condiciones de clima templado, para emplearlas como progenitoras de híbridos de cruza simple; y determinar a través de métodos multivariados (AMMI y SREG) la estabilidad y adaptación de dichas líneas y de sus híbridos...

IR57514-PMI-5-B-1-2 สายพันธุ์ข้าวสำหรับสภาพภูมิอากาศที่เปลี่ยนแปลง Thai Agricultural

Elite line, IR57514-PMI-5-B-1-2 was bred at International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in 1987. Then it has been selected at Phimai Rice Research Station. After that, yield trials were conducted under rainfed lowland condition in North and Northest Thailand. When grown in famer field under drought prone during 1996 - 1999, this line gaved the highest yield by average 542 kg/rai and inter-station yield trials during 2002 - 2014 it yielded by average 598 kg/rai which were 22 and 17% higher than KDML105 in the tested field conditions. The adventages of this line are drought resistance, submergence tolelance, resistant to rice blast disease and high adaptation to grow under rainfed condition. Growing rice in dry season in the upper northern region is depend upon two significant factors including, the varietal acceptance which high yield, disease and insect resistance and high market demand. The program on research and development of irrigated rice in the upper northern region has carried out the project and developed the new rice promising line, namely PRE02008-CRI-18-2-1-1 which is glutinous rice and insensitive to photoperiod. This line was obtained from single cross, PRE93001-8-1-2-1-1/ PRE1. Irrigated paddy fields are the rice growing areas having high yield potential. Two significant factors enhancing high yield are the well-adapted variety and appropriate management. PSL05101-93-1-32 is a promising rice line derived from the 3-way cross of PSL00508-3-1-1-4/IR66738-118-1-2//IR67966-188-2-2-1 in 2005. It has as high yield potential as 965 kg/rai (6.03 t/ha). The average grain yield is 730 kg/rai, greater than PSL2, CNT1 and RD47 varieties by 14, 13 and 7%, respectively. The maturity is 115 days after sowing by transplanting method. Plant height is 83-90 cm. This promising line is a non-glutinous long grain rice having straw-color husk. Purpose of this study is to select the proper parent varieties and appropriate resulted progenies for rainfed area. The test of approved parent varieties show that the proven cross procedure had been selected 21 appropriate varieties for crossing. The clone RT 92-2 had been used as female parents and selfing. The preliminary yield trial in plant crop of sugarcane series 2007 show that there were 7 and 5 clones which had average cane yield superior to the check varieties, U Thong 8 and Suphanburi 80 respectively. CCS06039-KLG-8-3-5-1 is a non-glutinous, non-photoperiod sensitive and aromatic rice line derived from a cross between PSBRc54 and IR22. The single cross hybridization was made in 2006 at Bang Khen Rice Experiment Station (now Chachoengsao Rice Research. F2 to F5 progenies were selected at Klong Luang Rice Reseach Center during 2007-2008. The line CCS06039-KLG-8-3-5-1 has an erect and moderately strong culm; 110 cm height on transplanting and 105 cm height on germinated seed broadcasting; 117 days maturity on transplanting and 106 days maturity on germinated seed broadcasting.
